You don’t build a business, you build people, then people build the business.”
-Zig Zigler, Author and Motivational Speaker
“His employees were his number one priority. He always said that the business would be nothing without them,” a former employee recalls of company founder, Edward B. Stief. It’s a business philosophy that has been passed down through generations. In 1958, Edward Stief founded Stief Concrete Work, Inc. as a small residential construction company with only five employees. Today, it is a third generation family owned business, and has grown into a company of up to 70 employees (10 in the office and 40-60 field workers, as needed). As the company has grown, so to has it’s project scope. We now work mostly on large commercial and industrial projects in the tri-state area. Though many things have changed over the years, we have worked very hard to make sure that Edward’s founding principles have not.
