Dear valued customer,
Yesterday afternoon Gov. Wolf announced the mandatory closing of all non-life-sustaining businesses in PA, effective March 19, 2020, at 8:00 PM. Enforcement of the order is scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 21. Consequently, Stief Concrete Work will be suspending all field operations effective Friday, March 20th. Additionally, effective immediately, our office staff will continue their duties from remote locations until further notice.
Our foremen will be reporting to their respective projects this morning to ensure all equipment and materials are properly secured or returned to our yard in the event of an extended business closure. We sincerely hope this is not the case. However, if this occurs, we look forward to returning as soon as possible. Any projects which may be granted exemptions to continue working will be addressed at the time we receive such notification and we will remobilize as quickly as possible.
I anticipate some of you may have questions. Please feel free to contact your Stief Concrete project manager. We are doing our best to stay informed on this rapidly shifting issue. Updates will continue to be posted on our website as things progress.
