The WellSpan Cancer Center project is a 67,000 square foot addition to the current WellSpan York Cancer Center. The new portion of the building will be home to a wide variety of services for cancer patients. These services will include holistic care, massage therapy, group support services, and various other therapeutic activities. The addition is slated to open in 2021.
The Cancer Center is a project for Alexander Building Company. The project scope encompasses formed footings on a fill site, as well as quite a bit of wall work (including a 20 foot high, one sided wall). Stief Concrete will also be working on a parking garage for the new Cancer Center. Work for the parking garage will include 25,000 square feet of compounding slope broom finish. There will also be 75,000 square feet of slab on metal deck, across multiple levels, with 24 pounds per cubic yard of blended poly fiber reinforcement.
