The Marriott hotel at Penn Square is a beautiful building with much historical significance to the Lancaster community. It belongs to the National Register of Historical Places, as the oldest section of the building has been dated back to 1898. Though most of the building was demolished to create the current Marriott hotel, much care was taken to preserve the original building facade. Recently, construction began on a 110 room expansion to the hotel. Wickersham Construction selected Stief Concrete to pour all post tensioned decks, a 90,000 square foot project. A four cubic yard bucket and tower crane are being utilized to pour the entire structure.
